"The Crown" producers and Netflix announced in 2020 that season six will be the last. The original concept for the series, pitched in 2016, was to portray the Family over 60 years.
So, it looks like the most expensive TV show in history has a greenlight to make-it-so. A $260 million (USD) season 5 should be pretty damn good.
Expect to see new episodes in mid-to late 2022.
