8FLiX Certificate of Authenticity and Signed Screenplays
Verify Your Signed Screenplays & Merch.
On this page, we'll go through 8FLiX's CoA (or Certificate of Authenticity) and the Authenticator process. If you picked up an autographed screenplay from 8FLiX's Custom Merch Shop, "SkewteeCo on Etsy," here's the place to verify your investment and register.
Why Do I Need to Register?
Protect your investment and register a free account.
You don't need to register, but there are benefits. Verifying your movie merch, like that awesome signed screenplay you picked up, is a great way to ensure your investment lasts as long as your genetics.
It's free. Yes, really. You paid for it... some of you paid a lot for it... so why not be able to pass a little piece of Hollywood down to your kids, and their kids, and so on. To make that happen, you'll need to take care of your signed screenplay better than you take care of your kids. (Unless you keep your children wrapped in plastic and stored on a shelf somewhere... occasionally showing them off to your parents.)
What happens when you register.
When you verify your signed screenplay, you'll automatically be registered for a free account on 8FLiX. This not only gives you access to read, study, and download thousands of original (but unsigned) movie screenplays, television teleplays, and series transcripts, but you'll also gain—ugh, this sounds like a cheesy sales pitch—"peace of mind." Yeah, sorry for the wording.
"Peace of mind" (yes, I’m saying it again) is the quickest way to explain how we can help if your script gets damaged, lost, or stolen. And I’m willing to bet no other company like 8FLiX offers what we do... especially not for free.
In the unlikely event...
If pages of your signed screenplay get damaged, we’ll replace the ruined pages for free. We’ll also provide easy-to-follow instructions on how to safely disassemble and reassemble the script with new brads (those solid brass paper fasteners), so you won’t risk damaging your investment.
Plus, through your private "My Account" page, we'll keep you updated on upcoming movie merch and signed screenplays, and we’ll even throw in an exclusive discount code just for YOU.
**NOTE: The signature pages are irreplaceable. We recommend talking to your Home Insurer about adding your original signed screenplay to your home and/or tenant's package. In most cases, you'll be able to insure memorabilia like you would any other original artwork, clothing, furniture, etc.
How to use the CoA & Authenticator
Here's what you'll need to get started.
Okay, so this is a simple process. Fill in your full name, choose a User Name and Password, and give us your email address. (don't worry, we don't sell or giveaway our client list, and your personal information is encrypted on the server.) There's room for your address, but you can leave that blank for now. We really only need it if we have to ship something to you.
As you add information, the form will continue to populate. The whole process should take no more than 5 - 10 minutes to complete.
Here's what you'll need to get started:
-
An eco-friendly, sugarcane paper Certificate of Authenticity ("CoA") has accompanied every signed screenplay since February 2024. It measures about 8.5"x11", featuring either a grey or green micro printed border. To verify, you'll need the eight-digit alphanumeric translucent code embedded in the Silver Hologram located in the lower right corner of the certificate, starting with "B—".
-
Next, you'll need the signed screenplay, specifically the signature page. In most cases, it’s the original cover page of the screenplay. Look for the Gold Hologram with a black six-digit code. However, for screenplays signed before February 2024, the signature page may have a Silver Hologram with a seven-digit translucent code. Either code will match the RED NUMERICAL STAMP on the CoA (lower left).
-
Then you'll need your camera to take a photo of the signature page and upload it to your CoA.
The 8FLiX Mission Statement

- To make our service available to readers, writers, and dreamers of all ages, regardless of one's abilities, geographical location, and/or socioeconomic status.
