The original "Little Shop of Horrors" movie, written by Charles Griffith, premiered in August 1960.
In 1982 Howard Ashman turned it into a stageplay, which is the version we have for you today (including his revisions). He 1986 Howard also wrote the screenplay to the movie we're more familiar with -- the one with Rick Moranis as Seymour Krelborn.
