‘Animation’ Screenplays
One of the many subgenres.
Neither a ‘mood’ nor a ‘tone,’ these scripts have a specific style of filmmaking that relates to a ‘Primary Genre.’
Scripts under the ‘Animation’ subgenre include traditional, CGI, and stop-motion animation. The Boss Baby (2017), and Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (2022) are excellent examples from the ‘Animation’ subgenre. Motion-capture (or ‘mo-cap’) scripts are excluded from this category.
Also, Disney and Pixar animated features have a category of their own… because, well, THEY’RE DISNEY-PIXAR!
