(8) Additional information.

(8.1) How we protect your data.

(a) Let's be honest: Nothing is 100% secure.

(b) But, we try our best using 256-bit SSL encryption (that's the 's' in https://). So, basically that means any private communication between you and 8FLiX servers cannot be seen by an evil-doer.

(8.2) Data breach procedures we have in place.

(a) In the unlikely event that we have a breach, we will:

1) Report the breach to authorities.

2) Upload a notice to our main 8FLiX Home Page advising affected Subscribers of the breach.

3) Notify the victims.

(8.3) Third parties we receive data from.

(a) On occasion, we use data from movies, TV shows and performers that are publicly available.

(b) Also, we use Media Accreditation to acquire images and supporting promotional material from film and TV production studios. Which, in reality means nothing unless you're an industry pro.

(c) For example, if you're attending a film festival, we may know if and when you're going. Not you personally, but your demographic.

(d) We won't know any 'real' personal information, like say, the colour of your undergarments (unless you want to tell us).

(8.4) Automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data.

(a) On occasion, when submitting a question or comment we use Google's 'reCAPTCHA' to ensure you're not a heartless robot. More information about how the process works can be found at Google's support site.

(b) And also, some of the ads you find on 8FLiX are automatically generated. So, they're probably, strangely enough, specifically meant for you to see! It's all about the "cookies" we've been talking about.

(8.5) Industry regulatory disclosure requirements.

(a) We abide by, and follow all industry regulatory requirements.

(b) You can contact us by email to express any concerns you may have about 8FLiX's content.

(c) Have a look at our Contact page for more details.

Also, you can contact us if you're lonely. We're okay with that, too
