George Romero was a towering influence over a hoard of future horror filmmakers. Literally. He stood just over 6'5" (1.96m) tall.
Fun fact: One of Romero's earliest works was a segment he made for "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood". The short included the show's protagonist, the iconic Fred Rogers, getting a tonsillectomy. Zombie-free, but still pretty neato.
