The Red Sea Diving Resort
July 31, 2019
"The Red Sea Diving Resort" is a Netflix movie based on a real-life Israeli mission to secretly rescue Jewish Ethiopians from Sudan.
In the 1980s, the Israeli government purchased an abandoned, run-down hotel on the coast of the Red Sea. Mossad (similar to CIA) agents operated the 'real' hotel while planning and executing a series of rescue missions.
...and what else

This movie is rated TV-MA. But, probably suitable for those 14+. There's some course language and gun violence, with some blood.
The total running time is about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
"The Red Sea Diving Resort" stars: Chris Evans (Ari Levinson); Michael Kenneth Williams (Kabede Bimro); Haley Bennett (Rachel Reiter); Alessandro Nivola (Sammy Navon); Michiel Huisman (Jacob 'Jake' Wolf); Alex Hassell (Max Rose); Mark Ivanir (Barack Isaacs); Chris Chalk (Col. Abdel Ahmed); Greg Kinnear (Walton Bowen); Ben Kingsley (Ethan Levin)

...right to the point
Like many "based on a true story" movies, this one comes with an unofficial caveat. Screenwriters do indeed take certain liberties with historical events all in the name of drama. So, keep that in mind when watching this true story. Or rather, "based on true events."
...the real facts
The real story is interesting; some may say more so than the movie.
In 2017, this website published an article about "Operation Brothers": the real Mossad code name (and the original title of this move) for the rescue mission. It's a brief article, and one worth reading - but after you watch the movie.
"The Red Sea Diving Resort", although a dramatization, does get a few details close enough to actual fact. So, reading any articles about what really happened can be considered as spoilers. Watch the movie first, then educate yourself on "Operation Brothers". It is truly a fascinating story.
...but why tho
Fans of any one of the actors starring in this movie will want to watch. It's what we, as fans, do. However, "The Red Sea Diving Resort" isn't going to make anyone a fan of any one starring in this film.
