The digital, or 'smart' slate.

The device being held up in front of Noah is called a digital slate. Also known as a clapperboard (or clap-sticks). The red-digital number you see is like a very accurate clock. The time is used for synchronizing the sound to the picture because both are recorded separately.

This is how it works. The camera, the slate, and the audio recording equipment are all connected wirelessly. At the exact moment the clap-sticks touch, the clock freezes, 'marks' and records the exact same time on all connected devices. This system allows for near-flawless audio/video syncing during editing. They simply align the numbers, and presto! Movie magic revealed.

Who is Kali? AKA, 008.

Linnea Berthelsen's primary photo

Eight, or Kali, is Eleven's 'lost sister.' We only see her in two episodes of season 2; mainly in "Chapter Seven: The Lost Sister". Her name is Linnea Berthelsen. Her birthday is July 13, 1993. She grew up in Denmark, and started acting in her late teens.

What I want to know is this: have we seen the last of Eight?

Oh, Steve. You started out as a jerk. Then became a beloved character, and a perfect mother to the boys!

Joe Keery's birthday is April 24, 1992. He was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts. His dad, David, is an architect. And his mom, Nina, is a Professor of English.

That's a lot of paper!

About 3000 sheets of paper were used to create the map that Will drew in "Stranger Things" season 2. But, they had to make several copies because it would get damaged during production. And, yes, it was based on an actual map of Hawkins that the production designers created for the first season.

The Snow Ball and Mileven.

'The Snow Ball' takes place during the final episode. As you know, Mike and Eleven share a kiss and a dance. But, did you know that originally they were also supposed to reunite at the Ball? Because, remember, they hadn't seen each other for almost one full year. However, thankfully, the producers decided not to go that way. Instead, they gave Eleven and Mike that goosebump-inducing reunion scene one episode earlier.

This isn't goodbye.

That's all we have for behind the scenes stills and other pictures from "Stranger Things" season 2. But, don't forget to check out our other galleries. There's more content to love.

Just one more thing...

We source series' screengrabs ourselves. And our on-set production stills come directly from the distributor. The result, then, is high-quality photos for you. If you're going to use them on your website, please give credit where credit is due.

Did you know...

Clicking a photo loads it in a gallery so you don't have to scroll. But doing that means you'll miss out on my witty and (sometimes) factual commentary. Oh, and if you're on a mobile device, you can swipe-up through the pictures without tapping. And if you want a closer look, tap the photo and zoom in. Easy peasy.

How to download...

If you're on a desktop or laptop, right-click on the image or picture you want to save. Then click 'Open image in new tab'. Then, go to that tab. Right-click on the image, and save it to your computer. If you're on a mobile device, lightly press down on the image and wait. In 1 or 2 seconds your device will give you several options from which to choose. Tap 'Save Image' and follow the instructions given by your device.

Before I forget...

This is a small, but dedicated site which explores binge-worthy TV and movies. I don't stream, but I do offer loads of information, reviews, pictures and scripts. Best of all, it's free! I try to add more and more each week. Thanks for being a part of our community of binge-watchers.
