These photos are official behind the scenes pictures of "Stranger Things" season 2. During filming, Netflix commissioned professional photographers Tina Rowden and Jackson Lee Davis to bring us on set and behind the camera. Sit back, and enjoy!

The Arcade.

The arcade you see behind the Duffers had to be built from scratch. Everything you see in the show, including the games, was brought in specifically for the shoot.

Witness the magic of production designers.

The setting for the arcade was not built inside a movie studio. In fact, the space was an abandoned dry cleaners stuffed with garbage and junk. The production designers renovated and turned the filthy space into what you see on screen. And, according to Matt Duffer, most of the games worked - and they were free!

Art imitating life imitating art.

Finn Wolfhard dresses up as a Ghostbuster, circa 1984, in "Stranger Things". Finn is set to appear in the movie 'Ghostbusters 2020'. Perhaps not as an actual Ghostbuster, but it's still a pretty cool coincidence. The film is set to open in theaters on July 10, 2020. When we have some behind the scenes pictures of the filming, we'll let you know!

New is old again.

The series is filmed with state-of-the-art digital-video cameras. However, the video is processed during post-production (editing phase) and given a 'film look' to appear similar to an 80s movie.

Makeup!

Winona Ryder wanted her hairstyle modeled after Meryl Streep’s hair in 'Silkwood'.

Talk about evil Will!

Originally, a Flayed Will was going to kill Bob. Whew, we're glad the writers came to their senses.

Take five!

Before we change sets and move over to part 2, take a break. Grab a drink at the Craft Services table. Then head on over to the studio to see the rest of our behind the scenes pictures from season 2.

Just one more thing...

We source series' screengrabs ourselves. And our on-set production stills come directly from the distributor. The result, then, is high-quality photos for you. If you're going to use them on your website, please give credit where credit is due.

Did you know...

Clicking a photo loads it in a gallery so you don't have to scroll. But doing that means you'll miss out on my witty and (sometimes) factual commentary. Oh, and if you're on a mobile device, you can swipe-up through the pictures without tapping. And if you want a closer look, tap the photo and zoom in. Easy peasy.

How to download...

If you're on a desktop or laptop, right-click on the image or picture you want to save. Then click 'Open image in new tab'. Then, go to that tab. Right-click on the image, and save it to your computer. If you're on a mobile device, lightly press down on the image and wait. In 1 or 2 seconds your device will give you several options from which to choose. Tap 'Save Image' and follow the instructions given by your device.

Before I forget...

This is a small, but dedicated site which explores binge-worthy TV and movies. I don't stream, but I do offer loads of information, reviews, pictures and scripts. Best of all, it's free! I try to add more and more each week. Thanks for being a part of our community of binge-watchers.
