Episode Synopsis:
Rue tries to get clean for Jules and chaperones Gia at the carnival. Jules encounters Cal with his family -- and finally meets Tyler. Cassie and Maddy, annoyed at their boyfriends, decide to do molly together. Kat hangs out with Ethan until she misreads a situation.

Rue attends NA meetings (Narcotics Anonymous), although she lies to the group about her sobriety. Ali is a fellow addict-in-recovery; wise and knows when someone is lying to him. He's a straight shooter. That's what I love about his character. He's not afraid to speak his mind. In this scene Ali and Rue talk, but she's reluctant to tell him everything.
That's one expensive 'pretzel'.
At the carnival, Fezco and Ash (Angus Cloud and Javon 'Wanna' Walton) get into the entrepreneurial spirit. 'Pretzel Mania' is a cover for their thriving drug business. Get a ticket from Fezco, bring it to Ash, he wraps your order in a pretzel. Fast and friendly, like.
Like father, like son?
Nate's dad, Cal Jacobs, is a successful businessman. He also has a dark side. An Nate is the only one in the family who knows about it. If you remember, when Nate was 11-yeard-old he broke into his dad's desk. That's where young Nate found his dad's homemade porn; neatly organized DVDs sorted by color and content.
Rules is back!
The last time Rue and Jules saw each other, it got 'weird'. Rue misinterpreted Jules' signals. The result was Jules on the receiving end of a mouth-on-mouth kiss. It's not that Jules didn't want it, per se, she was just shocked. So Rue apologized then ran out. She later went to Fezco's to get high.
No (public) love for Cassie.
Cassie and McKay, who's now in college, are a couple. In episode 2, McKay told Cassie that he 'loved' her. But when they're in public, it's a different story.
Where's Molly?
Feeling jilted and very pissed off at their boyfriends, Cassie and Maddie turn to an old friend for help. And Fezco says, 'Molly is working over by the pretzel stand.'
